Welcome to
the original alp party!
Dear friends!
Let me be honest... You & I, we always loved The Wild Edelweiss since 1990! After adverse circumstances, finally in 2025 the memorable original alp party will take place once again! This year I´d love to celebrate with you the Wild Edelweiss 35th anniversary and my 5... birthday!
Leopontium nivale, commonly called edelweiss, is a mountain flower belonging to the daisy or sunflower family Asteraceae. It prefers rocky limestone places at about 1800-3000 meters altitude. It is non toxic and has been used in traditional medicine as a remedy against abdominal and respiratory diseases. The dense hair protect the plant from cold, aridity and ultraviolet radiation... usually found in remote mountain areas it is used as a symbol for alpinism, beauty and purity associated with the Alps... especially of Switzerland. According to folk traditon, giving this flower to a loved one is a promise of dedication. The name derives from the german Edelweiss, which is compound of edel "noble" and weiss "white".
There are some places in the world which are simply different form others. Thoroughly cosmopolitan, St. Moritz´s lifestyle is a unique blend of glamour, culture & nature, sport & relax, style & elegance. Breathtaking alpine landscapes meet prestigious events, highclass glamour, culinary extravagance, exclusive luxury, stylish elegance & bold eccentricity, seductive charm & wild natural beauty! The magic is in the landscape and the myth, in the harmonious combination of nature, tradition and lifestyle!
They have all been here... Andy Warhol, Audrey Hepburn, Alfred Hitchcock and many others... to enjoy the spectacular view of the lakes and the mountains, to enjoy leisure and sporting activities in a class of its own, to live an extraordinary life!
Skiing with celebrities isn´t an exception in the Engadin!
The Corvatsch, the large raven, smart, breathtaking and free as a bird. The summit station is perched high above the Engadin.
At an altitude of 3.303 meters above sea level, it is the highest in Graubünden, offering optimal conditions for exciting experiences in the snow. The simply fabulous mountain scenery has always been an irresistible attraction and a legendary meeting place for sporty people, snow enthusiasts and celebrities ever since. The alpine scenery is spectacular. On one side the Bernina massive with the glaciers of Piz Bernina & Piz Roseg, on the other the famous Engadin lake landscape & thousands of mountain peaks!
Whether for a James Bond movie or the legendary movie spectacle "Fire and Ice" Willy Bogner loved to highlight his personal retreat full of originality and timeless beauty. No wonder Corvatsch often gets the main role!
From 1931 the Skiclub Julier had his first hut in the old, almost ruin walls of the Alp Margun. The wooden club hut was build 1960 from the Skiclub Corvatsch on the existing wall contour utilizing a disused military barac. In 1981 the Skiclub Corvatsch could afford to establish a nordic block house.
Ever since the cosy wooden mountain hut has been an intimate and legendary meeting place for locals, snow enthusiasts & private parties! This year again the hut is waiting for you...
